Adam Fischer is a 2001 graduate of Parkston High School in South Dakota. Adam was a three-sport stand out athlete in football, basketball and baseball.
He went on to attend the University of South Dakota where he graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in English education. While at South Dakota, Fischer played football for one year and then began his coaching career working as an assistant to the running back and quarterback coaches. Fischer coached the eventual Harland Hill (Division II Heisman) runner-up at quarterback and an All-American running back.
After two years as an assistant at USD, Fischer moved on to Yankton High School and worked as an assistant on the offense for the State runner-up Yankton Bucks. Yankton finished their season 12-1, with their only loss coming in the State Championship game.
In 2004, Coach Fischer also had success coaching baseball. In South Dakota, as the head coach of post 152 Parkston American Legion baseball team, he guided his team to 4th place in the South Dakota State tournament going on to eventually place 7th in the National American Legion baseball tournament.
Coach Fischer just finished his first year with the Generals as the wide receiver coach where he coached two first team All Central District Receivers (Jerrell White and Dequan Coles). Coach Fischer was recently invited to coach wide receivers at the 2006 East Coast Bowl, which was made up of the best Division 1AA, Division 2 and Division 3 seniors during the 2006 football season.
He and his wife Natalie live happily together in the Dinwiddie area.
