Coach Massello has been teaching science in Dinwiddie County since 2004. He originally worked at the middle school teaching physical science where he coached the middle school football defense and special teams from 2005 to 2007. Bill has both coached and taught all of the current seniors and juniors since they were in 8th grade. After he moved to the High School in 2007 to teach Chemistry and Active physics he was brought on to the Varsity staff in the spring of 2008 and coached outside linebackers and JV defense in the fall of 2008. He coached Varsity running backs and JV offense during 2009. This past 2010 season he coached varsity running backs and assisted with special teams. In addition to his on the field duties, coach Massello runs a study hall and SAT prep program in the off season to help strengthen players’ academic skills. This season he is the JV Defensive Coordinator. In high school Coach Massello was 1st Team All Conference and State awards for Outside Linebacker, Virginia Independent Schools. He was captain of a Roanoke Catholic High School football team that won the state championship and was team captain. He later played three years from 1995-1997 at Randolph-Macon College at defensive back.
