Dinwiddie DE Commits to Ferrum
Dinwiddie DE Brian Belangia has committed to play at Ferrum College.
The 6-3 200-pound defensive end recorded 75 tackles last season while also recording 2 INTs, one for a TD. As a junior in 2008, Belangia recorded 98 tackles and 5 sacks.

Busy Weekend & College Choices
On Saturday we went to the UVA 7-on-7 and Big Man Camp - where Corey Marshall received DL MVP and Chris Hall picked up his third offer.
Following the 7-on-7 I took Corey to Morgantown, WV, so that he could see his final school before making his comittment on Washington Post Live last night.
He had a great camp participating and dominating the competition. On Monday morning Chris ended all suspense in picking Virginia Tech on Tuesday, while teammate Corey Marshall picked VT last night.
Congrats and Thanks to Ms. Pittman!
Its been a crazy five days but I’d like to catch up on whats being going on the last few days.
On Thursday we were able to present Ms. Pittman with her gift on her retirement. Ms. Marshall’s aunt was able to get the quilt done in time and we presented it to Ms. Pittman on Thursday.
I know I’ve said this time and time again but I would again like to thank Ms. Pittman for not only the opportunity she gave me five years ago, but for the support she gave me throughout the process even when doing so wasn’t popular opinion.
Your the best Ms. Pittman and I will miss you.
Day 2 - End of Year Testing
On the second day of testing more records were broken as Corey Marshall broke the three year old squat record of 520, set by Darius Miles, with his personell best of 525 (see picture).

Also doing well in the squat were senior runningback Andre Thweatt and sophomore linebacker Darius Johnson who both squated 475.

I was very pleased with our 40 times as 26 out of our 35 varsity players ran under 4.9. We had the most make clubs than ever before.
Making our top club (Blue Chip) were Andre Thweatt (120 points), Darec Brooks (119 points), Brandon Taylor (108 points), Darius Johnson (106 points), Chris Hall (95 points), Corey Marshall (94 points), Elmondo King (92 points).
Making the second best club (Champion) were Deandre Allen (89 points), Trey Gardner (89 points), Deonte Monroe (89 points), Sadarius Williams (84 points), Brian Finney (84 points), Tavares Jackson (82 points), Rashaad Goodwin (82 points), Drakar Harvell (81 points), and Joseph Taylor (80 points).
Making the third best (Generals Club) were Rashaard Hicks (78 points), Darius Hawkins (75 points), Taquan Kates (73 points), and Eder Lopez (71 points).
Making the fourth club (Red Pride) was Jordan Prentiss (69 points), Elijah Hariss (65 points), and Quinton Hunley (63 points). Making the last club (Blue Pride) was James Coleman (59 points), Deontre Scott (58 points), Daniel Buenrostro (58 points), Jacory Fitzgerald (57 points), Gartrez Beasley (56 points), and David Buenrostro (53 points).
Hawkes Commits to Liberty
Pierre Hawkes, who was an All -State DB for me in 2008, has committed to Liberty University to play football.
He had recently been at New Mexico Military Institute, where he started as a freshmen. Pierre was a qualifier out of HS but we didnt feel he got recruited enough, he kind of got lost in the shuffle in the class that had 9 sign. After a year of growth, he has got the opportunity to go where he wanted out of college.

Dinwiddie DE and Rivals 250 recruit Corey Marshall will announce his college decision tomorrow evening on Washington Post Live on Comcast Sports Net.

Offseason Testing - Day 1 a Success
The first day of testing went extremely well, especially with our younger players.
The school record for the 20 yard pro shuttle was broken by Darec Brooks with a 4.03 second run, then DB Brandon Taylor tied him later in the day.
Our older kids run the forty Tuesday, but with the younger kids Rashaad Goodwyn, an incoming freshmen, posted the best time of 4.47 seconds, and incoming sophomore MLB Darius Johnson posted a 345 lb bench press.
