Talk about it in The Main Board

Virginia Tech has always been a school Sadarius Williams has had a lot of interest in.

Williams has always wanted to go to VT.

Now that the Class of 2014 running back from Dinwiddie (Va.) is started to hear from colleges he’s even more anxious to have the opportunity to play for the Hokies.

That’s what the 5-foot-11, 195-pound back said this week.

“Well, when I was younger I went up there to watch them play,” Williams recalled.

“My uncle was going to go up there but he got hurt in high school. I figured I would take his spot and go up there and show him what it’s like.”

Williams isn’t acting as though an offer from the Hokies is a certainty and he’s keeping his options open.

He said he receives a lot of mail from different colleges but so far schools like UNC, Wisconsin and Virginia Tech have shown the most interest.

Virginia Tech is the only school Williams has visited so far. He was last in Blacksburg a year ago for a one-day camp.

“They said they’re going to evaluate me each year and see how I’m doing,” he added.

Last year Williams rushed for 700 yards and earned all-district honors for his play at linebacker.
